How to drive in
Miami, Miami Beach, South Florida
The City of Hialeah
"Like A City Within A City"
Like Coral Gables, the city of Hialeah has its own numbering system, different from the rest of the County. It is bordered to the North by 135/138 Street, to the South by Ockeechobee Road, to the East by NW 37 Avenue and, to the West by NW 107 Avenue.
PALM AVENUE divides the City East and West. It is the equivalent of NW 53 Avenue. Hialeah Drive divides the City North and South. It is the equivalent of NW 54 Street.
There are 3 sections in Hialeah:
EAST, where the Streets and Avenues are preceded with the letter "E".
Ex: E 2 Ave, E 49 St;
WEST, where the Streets and Avenues are preceded with the letter "W".
Ex: W 4 Ave, W 20 ST;
South-East, where the Streets and Avenues are preceded with the letters "SE".
Ex: SE 1 ST
The East and South-East areas of Hialeah are quite small. The guiding lines given
in the former paragraph are all you need to know about these two sections.
NOTE: Do not confuse the SE section of Hialeah with the SE section of Miami-Dade County.
