How to drive in
Miami, Miami Beach, South Florida
Leaving Miami International Airport
Determine what Quadrant of Miami-Dade County your destination is located in and also what road you will need to follow (see Access to the Miami International Airport). Then use one of the following exits accordingly.
Exit 1:
1)To NW 37 Avenue (Douglas Rd) South (make a right on 37 Ave). Keep the left lane when leaving the Airport.
Use for Coral Gables and Coconut Grove.
2)To SR 836 (Dolphin Expressway) East. Keep the left lane when leaving the Airport. Make a right on NW 37 Ave. Keep to the left on NW 37 Ave for SR 836 East. The Expressway is just a few blocks after making the right on NW 37 Ave.
Use for I-395 to the Port of Miami and to 5th Street in Miami Beach (South Beach).
Use for I-95 South to Downtown Miami, Brickell Ave, Key Biscayne and US 1 to Coconut Grove.
Pay toll.
Exit 2:
To SR 112 (Airport Expressway East. Keep the right lane when leaving the Airport. This lane splits. At the Split, keep to the left for entering SR 112. Keep to the right for LeJeune Rd (NW 42 Ave) and NW 36 St.
Use SR112 for I-195 to 41 Street in Miami Beach;
Use for I-95 North to North Miami, North Miami Beach, Bay Harbor, Bal Harbor, Sunny Isles, Aventura and North Florida Locations;
