Body of web page: name, first paragraph,
heading, link.
The body of the page must show all keywords the page is being optimized for as part of its content. Restrain
yourself: don't try to cover everything in one page.
Some special consideration must be given to specific areas of the body
of the web page.
The name of the page, because of its position at the top of the page, will be
given a high level of relevancy by the search engines. Make the name
relevant to the content of the page and, of course, in big bold letters.
Make the search engines know that this is an important element of the
page. If possible, make the name same as the title. This will
optimize the primary keywords in the title.
The first paragraph must contain all of the primary and, if possible, all of the
main keywords. Again, because of its position at the top of the page, the
search engines assign a high level of relevancy to the keywords included in this
paragraph: the search engines assume that a webmaster will deliver the most
important information first.
Format the links and headings in big bold letters and include keywords as
these elements or as part of them. If a link goes from a main page to a child
page, name, title and describe the new page using the link/ keyword.
Develop an exchange of links with related sites. Ask yourself these questions in
order to locate the proper sites to associate with: what other products or
services do people consume or use before, along with, or after the products or
services offered on my site? What may enhance or complement the content
of this site? What complements the products or services I offer?
